Welcome to
Sharing Home

Sharing Home is a documentary-style cooking and storytelling series that explores what it means to belong. Set around kitchen tables on a North Carolina homestead and in homes around the world, the series centers on real people—often immigrants and refugees—who carry their histories, faith, and resilience through the foods they prepare and the stories they tell.

The series was inspired by the host’s childhood in San Francisco, where daily life unfolded among neighbors from every corner of the world. Years later, the idea took shape while walking through an international market—hearing many languages at once, surrounded by familiar ingredients from distant places, and feeling the pull of memory and home. That moment revealed how deeply food, culture, and belonging are intertwined.

Each episode invites a guest to prepare a comfort dish from their homeland—food that carries memory, meaning, and identity—while sharing the journey that shaped them. As recipes unfold, so do stories of migration, loss, hope, and the enduring pull of home. These are not polished performances or trend-driven meals, but lived experiences—faith formed through hardship, culture preserved through food, and connection built slowly over conversation.

The table becomes a place of gathering across generations, cultures, and backgrounds. Friends and family come together to eat, listen, and reflect, revealing how hospitality can hold both difference and shared humanity. Inspired by the way Jesus met people through shared meals and everyday moments, Sharing Home sees faith as lived and tangible—made visible through welcome, attention, and care.
